World Poetry Day was created by UNESCO in November 1999. This day was created as recognition of the important role poetry plays in arts and culture around the world, as well as to support poets.
Case Studies:
One of our favourite campaigns is 'Pay With a Poem' by Julius Meinl. This is their first global poetry event being carried out over 27 different countries as part of their mission to make the world better through poetry. According to Meinl, "On 21st of March 2015 over 100,000 people showed the world that feelings are more valuable than money." Find out more.
